Just a quick check-in to let y’all share in my excitement. Today marks MINUS TWENTY POUNDS (-20.2 to be exact)! I feel great. It is amazing how if you really buckle down and focus, you can transform your body/health in just two months. I won’t say short months because that would minimize the fact that in the 56 days that I have been focused on weight-loss I have had to resist countless diet-breakers. But it was obviously worth every treat I passed up, and every time I joined friends/family at a restaurant and chose the Asian Chicken Salad with no noodles and dressing on the side (all while the scents/sights of the diet-breaking danced around me). Okay, it wasn’t that bad. Once you get used to passing up the fatty foods it gets pretty easy, and soon you find yourself craving an Asian Chicken Salad with no noodles and dressing on the side, instead of those Chicken Strips & Fries.
I know some of you like me love the inspiration in before/after photos, so here ya go!
Yep those are skinny jeans. 😛 In other news, my BMI is now in the healthy range according to NutriSystem and I have just 8 pounds to the target BMI for my height! YAY! Now if I could just get on the fitness wagon. I’m hoping the 5K and 8K that I’m registered for will start to motivate me. You can donate to my fundraising campaign for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 8K here: http://www2.jdrf.org/goto/raquellangmonsaas Thank you so much!
